At the 2024 Premier’s VCE Awards, held on the 2nd July 2025, Victoria celebrated outstanding performances across the VCE cohort of 2024. A total of 339 awards were presented which recognised the exceptional dedication and hard work of 315 students during the 2024 VCE.
Kevin Lai, a current Year 12 student at Lakeview Senior College, undertook Year 12 General Mathematics as an accelerated subject in 2024. Kevin was one of just eighteen students to receive a VCE Premier’s Award for General Mathematics, an award presented for academic excellence. In Victoria, General Mathematics is one of the most widely studied subjects, only second to English, with more than 30,000 students undertaking this course in 2024.
